The Ever Changing Curriculum of School Education

School reform is always a hot topic when it comes to government proposals, and even PTA meetings. Obviously the majority of parents to educate their children as one of their top priorities, how they want the best for their children in and after school. As a result of government proposals are often made to change the education system in Britain in an effort to make it better. The result is a set of proposals, with the mix thrown in, as primary education from the beginningGraduation undergone changes. As they say, "The times they are a changin '.

The decisive factor in changing childhood education is the society. As the society is also changing the ways we educate our children in order to integrate them successfully into it as adults. Right now one of the biggest issues relating to British citizenship. With the growth of the EU and an influx of immigrants from countries such as Poland and Romania form the British culture is changing.

As a resultCitizenship classes are sprouting in the schools very young children with education on offer as the British and help with the integration of foreigners. Another change is that this shift in the culture, what is the change of the languages taught in school. While French and German remain, other languages such as Polish and Urdu more and more in the foreground.

Schools are now more than ever to provide children with life skills that they will support after-school oriented.Money management classes (such as the Bank of Scotland seen in the ads) are becoming increasingly popular because they teach the children how to learn to budget and handle money when they try to reach the workplace. These classes, with the introduction of vocational guidance and counseling to gain employment secured. This career counseling classes are advertised, even primary school students. In addition, there are proposals to expand it classes.

Although not everyone agrees with these changes it isimportant to remember that the schools were reform and change to fit in decades with the changing society. The only constants seem to be that there will always be a need for providing basic facilities such as school furniture as educational. They are, after all, the staple diet of any educational institution.

Either way, it will be interesting to see how education reforms affect how society progresses in the coming years.

Early years education: Sweden versus the UK Part 2 (of 3)

Despite not starting formal education until seven, by age eleven, Swedish and Finnish children approach the top of Europe's literacy league tables. Finnish children spend fewer hours in school than any other in Europe, yet their children's achievements in numeracy and literacy are the the envy even of Sweden. Talking of envy, don't you wish you had gone to a preschool like the one shown in this video? Wouldn't you feel happier sending your child to such a school? Imagine being a teacher there - or simply working in the kitchen! Sweden is not some weird utopia. Swedes just happen to have some enlightened ideas about preschool education. There's nothing in this video that wouldn't work in the UK or USA, or with your children. Incidentally, if you visit www.teachers.tv you can (after free registration) download a higher quality version of this and other films about education.

Alex Jones Calls the White House

Alex calls the White House and leaves a message about the H1N1 hoax. Classic. Download it. ______ Swine flu pandemic? It feels like a phoney war Dr John Crippen is the pseudonym of an NHS doctor who writes a popular medical blog. This is his account of the view from the GP's surgery * Dr John Crippen * The Guardian, Friday 1 May 2009 Oh! God, now I know it is serious. The Health Protection Agency has sent me an algorithm to tell me how to deal with swine flu. It arrived today in an email with one of those red exclamation point on the edge. An algorithm, for those who do not know, is a "finite sequence of statements, an explicit, step-by-step process to solve a problem." It is very complicated. I do not understand. Fortunately, the Primary Care Trust has also sent me a red exclamation mark e-mail with instructions to understand I can: "The main message is: use to catch more of a tissue to cough and sneeze, throw away used tissues and regularly wash their hands . I can relate tothat. Trouble is, it makes me giggle. I can't get that old jingle, from somewhere in early childhood, out of my mind. "Coughs and sneezes spread diseases, trap your germs in your handkerchief." It has rhythm. It is best recited in a "Mail train" monotone. Lovers of Tony Hancock will want to sing it to the tune of Deutschland, Deutschland über alles. Doctor, you're not taking this seriously. Actually, I am. JOHN BOWLBY: ATTACHMENT THEORY ACROSS GENERATIONS ( DAVIDSON FILMS )

Positive intimate relationships with spouses, relatives and friends are incredibly important to mental health in adulthood. John Bowlby's Attachment Theory shows how relational patterns set early in life affect emotional bonds later in life. This film's focus is on attachment theory as it explains many aspects of personality development from childhood through to adulthood. This film is a companion piece to our very popular 2005 release on Bowlby's colleague, Mary Ainsworth, which was centered largely on the development of attachment relationships in infancy. This film addresses issues related to attachment in later life as people seek to establish new ties and cope with separations and losses. Therapeutic applications of the theory as developed by Dr. Bowlby and others are illustrated, along with new insights that neuroscience brings us to understand the legacy of attachment histories. With Howard Steele, Ph.D. This is a short clip from the film. Further information is available at www.davidsonfilms.com.

What is the PSAT and How Does it Help Prepare For the SAT?

If you've heard of the SAT exam then it is likely that you've also heard of the PSAT exam. Many students choose to take this exam as a form of preparation for the SAT within the same school year, or possibly in the following year. If you've never heard of the PSAT, or are just curious about what it is, take a few moments to learn more about it and how it can help you prepare for the SAT.

What is the PSAT?

The PSAT is also known as the Preliminary SAT or National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It is co-sponsored by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Students in high school have probably already heard about the test in their freshman year, as many schools begin to prepare them for it so that it can be taken in the sophomore year.

The main objective of this test is to give students an idea of what to expect on their SAT exam. It gives them an opportunity to take all of the steps involved in the actual test (testing on the same sections and being timed) without suffering any true penalties. The test is free and offers a great building block to the SAT that is usually taken in the junior or senior year. So students who want get some of the SAT test jitters out of their system can benefit well from taking the PSAT.

How Does the PSAT Help Prepare for the SAT?

As mentioned previously, the biggest way that taking the PSAT helps to prepare for the SAT is that they are virtually identical tests. The PSAT has the same types of sections, including critical reading, math, and writing skills, and all questions are multiple choice. This works out well in giving students a clear idea of what the real experience will feel like.

In preparing to take the PSAT, it's not much different than preparing for the actual SAT exam. However, it's not uncommon for schools to make preparation a part of the school curriculum since it is tied with the National Merit Scholarship. With training in the classroom setting to prepare for the PSAT, you can take some of this knowledge with you as you sit down and prepare for the real exam in the following semester or year. To learn when the PSAT is available in your area, visit the National Merit Scholarship Corporation's website.

Getting Additional SAT Help

It's great to know that the PSAT is an excellent tool for SAT preparation; however, it's not the actual SAT test. In other words, it's still a good idea to get specialized help to prepare for the actual exam. This help can come in the form of study groups or SAT preparation courses offered locally. Also, students are finding that online SAT preparation courses are equally capable of preparing them efficient - and with these online courses comes the convenience of preparing from home.

There's no doubt that the PSAT is a great exam to take if you're serious about eventually taking the SAT. So before diving into the big test, it doesn't hurt to consider how you can benefit from this useful preparatory test.

Early Childhood Learning Flashcards Right Brain Program

Save yourself hours of making your own early childhood learning flashcards, and give your child a boost in their learning abilities, too! TweedleWink Lessons on DVD use the innovative techniques of Right Brain Education, an accelerated early learning program inspired by Maria Montessori, Glenn Doman, Makodo Shichida, Tony Buzan and many others. Right Brain Education is a gentle but powerful method of activating both hemispheres of the brain to accelerate learning, activate photographic memory, promote speed reading and make early learning fun for both children and parents. Each DVD contains over 800 flashcards for viewing on your television or computer. Watch your child's development soar as he or she soon starts naming the pictures from the flashcards and then recognizing them in everyday life! Right Brain Education is built upon scientific findings about brain development. Because the outer cortex of the brain develops from right to left, this gives a window of time during which your child is functioning primarily with the right hemisphere. Right Brain Education has the methods and techniques to take optimum advantage of this incredibly absorbent right brain learning period. In the first six years of life, your child's right brain is naturally wide open and is able to receive a great deal of information. When children receive high-quality exposure to a variety of topics during this time, a rich library is created -- one to which your child will have subconscious access ...

DBSK - Hey, Kid [english lyrics]

I love this! It's such a sweet song. And it's all true. When you get older, you really start to miss, a small child. There was no real worries, no real problems, you didn't have a large responsibility, how to do a lot in high school, even middle school .. and I know it will only be harder from here .. be a child, while you can. I decided to use baby and childhood pictures for the most part this video. I just thought it really fit. I only have pictures of babies Jaejoong. I have a fewImages of childhood, but they are really very small, lol. It was one I really wanted to use, but he looked more like he was in his early youth instead of age, as the song says. But okay, I'll stop talking, lol. Translations from DBSKer, as always. Have fun! :)

The Notorious BIG Tribute-RIP

I Made This Video Cause I Was Inspired By Biggie Cause I Just Watched Notorious It Was Sad Rest In Peace Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 March 9, 1997), popularly known as Biggie Smalls (after a fictional gangster in the 1975 film Let's Do It Again), Frank White (from the 1990 film King of New York), Big Poppa, and his primary stage name, The Notorious BIG, was an American rapper. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, Wallace grew up during the peak years of the 1980s' crack epidemic and started dealing drugs at an early age. When Wallace released his debut album with the 1994 record Ready to Die, he was a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene and increased New York's visibility at a time when hip hop was mostly dominated by West Coast artists. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior MAFIA While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the East Coast-West Coast hip hop feud, dominating the scene at the time. On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc set Life After Death, released fifteen days later, hit #1 on the US album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000. Wallace was noted for his "loose, easy flow" dark semi-autobiographical lyrics and storytelling abilities. Since his death, a further three albums have been released. MTV ranked him at #3 on their list of The Greatest MCs of All Time ...

Serge Lama - Les ballons rouges (English subtitles)

Burst balloons, lonely holidays and early sexual experience have all shaped the childhood Lama recounts in this song. Unlike other children, the only fairies he knew were not magical ones, but prostitutes, and his Cinderella was less than perfect. In this lonely and cruel childhood, Lama did not give or receive anything, thus, he eventually emerged as a victor, who did things his own way. This is an amateur translation, so all corrections and constructive criticisms are welcome. Special thanks to Philippchek of Paris and YouTube for his notes and corrections.
