Children Of God: Lost & Found (part 1/7)

After mixing a highly unconventional childhood in Children of God, a cult, religion and sex, escaped filmmaker Noah Thomson, start a normal life. But after years of experience of sexual abuse and neglect, Thomson and other former members of the organization may never know what is "normal". The documentary follows Thomson as he for others who are trying a new life outside the sect have run searches - and searches for answers about his own lost childhood. Children of God (now known asFamily) began in 1968 in California. It was part of the Jesus movement of the late 1960s and early converts were many hippies. In 1974 the family began a method of evangelism as "flirty fishing" - with sex show God's love and win converts. Flirty fishing has been compared by some religious prostitution, and was set 1987th David Berg, founder and leader of the prophetic worship, communicates with his followers about "Mo Letters" - letters of instruction and advice on aVariety of spiritual and practical subjects. According to Berg's death in late 1994, his wife, Karen Zerby, the leader of the family. In CHILDREN OF GOD: Lost and Found, lays Noah Thomson to discover other ex-interview children of God that these young, second generation members often do not thrive in the outside world, turning to drugs, crime and suicide, not to a society, indifferent to adapt their abuse as children. Surprisingly, a few still value in the children...
